Is The Nikon D7000 the Best Mid Range DSLR Camera?

!±8± Is The Nikon D7000 the Best Mid Range DSLR Camera?

The Nikon D7000 has been dubbed the "best mid range DSLR" (Digital single lens reflex) camera for quite a few reasons.

If you are wanting to go up from a more budget model but don't quite feel you are at the stage where you want to fork out for a semi-pro model, but you do want better functionality (such as ease of reviewing your pictures), quicker continuous shooting, superior build quality and higher resolution-then this camera will do nicely, thank you very much. It has a lot to keep the camera enthusiast happy.

It has an awesome 16.2 megapixel sensor which, together with Nikon's EXPEED-2 processor, the DX-format image sensor gives you the most opulent pictures from any mid-range DSLR camera on the market.

In addition it has a new 39-point AF (auto focus) array. Because of the way the points are positioned you have a good choice of possibilities when it comes to composing your pics. The nine AF points in the center utilize powerful cross-type sensors -great for focusing. Because of the 3D tracking and the sensitive AF you're able to nail that shot you're after.

And unlike other competitors models, the D7000's nine cross-type sensors are compatible with all AF NIKKOR lenses f/5.6 or faster. Plus, because the D7000 has an Ai indexing tab on its lens mount, you can also get up to 9 'non-CPU' lenses registered with the camera. That's extremely useful for you enthusiasts out there because it means you can use almost any Ai specification or later lens in aperture priority or manual mode with the P7000, losing little or no functionality (apart from AF) in the process.

What else makes the D7000 such a useful mid range dslr?

You should get a perfect picture whatever the lighting situation because of its (now standard) expanded use of Standard ISO from 100 to 6400. This wide range ISO will help at dusk or daylight. Full High Definition 1080p video is standard on the D7000. This is the first DSLR from Nikon to offer 1920×1080 HD resolution video, and it shoots at 24 frames per second. You also have the option of auto exposure and manual exposure for your high definition videos It has a tough magnesium alloy body, whilst retaining the same sort of feel and look of the classic Nikon D90. Reviewing your pics on the 3.0" LCD display is a dream compared to some camera LCDs. The 921k-dot resolution screen allows a viewing angle up to 170 degrees Twin SD card slots giving you a number of advantages as covered further in the extended review (see link below.) The Virtual Horizon is a great boon compared to the on grid lines from the old N80 days that were there to help photographers shoot level. You can set up the camera with the VH showing in th Viewfinder (push the top front function button) and hey presto-ready to go. There is also a finder that looks like a compass that appears in live view when you need it

The D7000 is a great camera and has enough features to satisfy both gadget-loving camera enthusiasts as well as those who are just into photography, have been learning and experimenting for a while but want their expertise and results to go up a notch. It will satisfy these two groups we believe and is worth the Nikon D7000 price. But if you are a learner photographer the "info screen" could very well cause you to flip out and it probably would not, for you, be worth the Nikon D7000 price.

By reading a Nikon D7000 review, you can see whether this camera is the one for you!

Sturdy Design Ideal for Young Photographers

Engineered with children's small hands in mind, the Kidizoom Spin & Smile Digital Camera comes with easy-to-grip, rounded sides and large, intuitive buttons. Kidizoom's sturdy design helps withstand rough handling by young photographers. While not indestructible, this camera stood up to repeated drops on a cement floor during testing.

Kidizoom comes with a twisting lens that flips effortlessly into position as well as a timer, taking the guesswork out of self-portraits and group shots. A zoom wheel activates the 4X digital zoom, while dual viewfinders and a full-color screen make it easy for children to compose pictures.

The camera screen's compact size does make it challenging to predict the photo quality before viewing on a television or computer monitor. Do not expect this 2.0 megapixel camera to take sharp photos of squirmy subjects in low-light conditions.

Zany Special Effects Unleash Creativity

Kidizoom allows your child to add silly hairstyles, wacky distortion, and colorful frames to photos. These can be easily viewed on a computer or television. Parents will need to spend a little time helping younger children find and use the editing features to allow them to fully unleash their creativity. Your child can also record movies with funny cartoon animations and scene-setting frames. A video recorder lets kids record and then distort voices, adding echo effects or robot intonations.

Along with the editing options, five preloaded games--including a photo puzzle, detective game, and germ-fighting adventure--will provide hours of educational entertainment for your child.

Built-In Memory Stores Hundreds of Photos

With 256 megabytes of internal memory, there's room for hundreds of photos or more than 10 minutes of video. The camera also supports up to 2 gigabytes of additional space by adding an SD card (sold separately).
